Going into Orbit! Mr Lee’s On the Up and Up With Global Airline Launches and Awards
In the future, we think that the Mr Lee’s recruitment process needs to assess whether prospective candidates suffer from vertigo, in order to welcome aboard only team members who really feel at ease with ‘dizzy heights’! In fact, we might target our job ads to wannabe astronauts as lately Mr Lee’s headquarters has felt more akin to ‘mission control’ than a regular office, with the amount of launches we have been coordinating, we feel real empathy with Elon Musk and his team.
Having recently launched in selected Asda stores (find us in the Free From aisle) and at Asda online, Mr Lee’s Zen Garden Vegetables (vegan friendly) and Coconut Chicken Laksa noodles are currently on Roll Back promotion (down from £2.50 per pot to £1.75 per pot until 3rd December), so go grab a trolley (or fill your basket online) and do a supermarket sweep!
Flying high worldwide, Mr Lee’s are super excited to have had two real major airline launches on a global scale. Down under, travellers can now lick their lips at the prospect of our authentic Hong Kong Street Beef flavour noodles on Virgin Australia Airlines.
And not content with just one major continent and airline, we are over the clouds to have also very recently launched on EasyJet! This means passengers on all european EasyJet flights can now enjoy the great taste of Mr Lee’s award-winning Coconut Chicken Laksa noodles.
Recently receiving fantastic recognition as Highly Commended in the ‘Free From - savoury’ category at the Quality Food Awards 2019, Mr Lee’s Coconut Chicken Laksa is really going places - literally.
The popular flavour was launched on Great Western Railways, a primary train operator in the south of the UK just this week!
Hot off the press, occurring in just this last week, Damien Lee (CEO and Founder of Mr Lee’s) has received high honour from NatWest Great British & Northern Irish Entrepreneur Awards (2019), winning ‘Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year’! An outstanding achievement, especially when you consider there were over 2000 businesses being judged. “It feels quite surreal and I am so humbled to receive this award. Mr Lee’s team work tirelessly every day and deserve this recognition, so it’s fantastic for all of us.” - said Damien.
We’re also ecstatic to have made the FoodTech500 shortlist. The list by Forward Fooding showcases companies (early-stage startup to scaleup) that are building and scaling AgriFoodTech businesses, addressing the rapid need for change across the food ecosystem. This is fantastic recognition for Mr Lee’s hard work and they highlight that ‘all of the companies that have made the FoodTech 500's shortlist have in our opinion become entrepreneurial success stories worth keeping an eye on, which is why we have made it our mission to share them.’
Mr Lee’s is on the up and up and will keep driving hard on quality and testing boundaries to reach new heights and get healthy noodles to as many people as possible. But how much higher can we get? Does anyone have the catering contact for the Space Station?? ;)
