Awards, Airlines and New Recipes – Noodles Taken To New ‘Heights’

Firstly, apologies, we’ve been so busy at Mr Lee’s that we’ve barely had time to write and let you know all the wonderful things we’ve been up to. Reaching for new levels of awesome is quite time-consuming, but we know you love to hear about what we’re up to, so it’s time to tell you! Pop the kettle on, grab a brew or some noodles and have a read about our new launches, flavours and awards.

Set for ‘take-off’ in the skies and on the ground, Mr Lee’s award-winning noodles will be available on all Norwegian Airline routes from the UK from 1 June! Damien Lee, founder of Mr Lee’s Pure Foods comments, “Our Coconut Curry Laksa noodles will be available as a part of Norwegian Airlines’ onboard menu on the UK routes from June 2019 and we look forward to an ongoing partnership to achieve our goal of putting healthier, better foods in the hands of airline passengers everywhere. I think the airline catering industry has really got to a point now where they need to address certain dietary requirements, other than just a vegetarian option. Over the past years, gluten-free options have become more attainable whilst flying, but instead of just another tasteless alternative, our noodles will bring an option uniquely crafted from authentic recipes, created by our team of Asian innovators.”

He continues, “Our new partnership will ensure that every single one of their passengers will be able to eat the healthiest gourmet noodles out there, a tasty warm meal to fill you up where the air is thin!”.

Meanwhile, we’re over the moon, but keeping ‘grounded’ at the fantastic news that we are launching very soon in Holland and Barrett selected stores) with our two vegan friendly flavours, Zen Garden Vegetables and Dragon Fire Vegetables. Working with a renowned high street health retailer like Holland and Barrett is an ideal opportunity to make our gluten-free, vegan friendly noodles more accessible.

The noodles aren’t just being taken physically to new heights, but metaphorically too, as the flavours have recently been developed to a higher level of taste. Mr Lee’s Pure Foods have taken the step to re-formulate all noodle flavours by further balancing their seasoning levels to propel them even further with quality and gastronomy that far exceed any predecessors, resulting in something tantalisingly tasty! With a renewed focus on ‘real food’, the full range including two vegan options has been taken to another level by Mr Lee’s own inventive and authentic chefs. The popular chicken flavours Tai Chi Chicken and Coconut Chicken Laksa have been developed with the introduction of game-changing, generous pieces of 100% chicken breast alongside their market-leading amounts of freeze-dried veggies and proteins.

Not to show-off, but with our high-quality products, we’ve already accumulated many an accolade. This certainly doesn’t diminish new awards though as we constantly strive for excellence and welcome recognition from leading industry authorities. Mr Lee’s are honoured to have been named Finalists in the category of Exporter of the Year by The Grocer Gold Awards 2019. Winners will be announced at an illustrious ceremony at the Guildhall, London on June 11th. Fingers crossed!
